George Carline - Stand Up Comedy

George Carlin quotes and jokes are the ticket.  Some of the lyrics to his songs are awesome too.   I have some of them in MP3 version and some wavs.  We saw him live on one of his tours and it was an excellent show.  His most famous set was the seven words you can't say on television.  I have the DVD that followed it; Carlin at Carnegie.  It has the 7 words you can't say on TV plus about 10 minutes more of hilarious words that you can't say.  I will be getting more of his DVDs shortly.  There is a box set of DVD's that are the best of George Carlin in concert.  We have many of his movies, videos and dvds even though we are not the official George Carlin site.

George Carlin Biography 

Born May 12, 1937 in the Bronx, New York, Carlin served a stint in the military where he met and teamed with radio personality Jack Burns. The duo worked in clubs and had a 1960 live recording but gained little success. Performing on his own, George played a straight, clean-cut comic but eventually found his niche as the voice of the hippie counterculture. His recording, FM & AM, reflects this change in his comedic style. Noteriety and popularity followed with his landmark routine,"Seven Dirty Words" from Class Clown. 

The next few years saw Carlin venture into network tv, some minor film roles, as well as two best-selling books. But his strength has always been his scathing, solo stand-up; delivering his razor-sharp observations on everything from language and humanity to his unconventional but hilarious and thought provoking opinions on God, religion and the government, baseball and football and his famous "you are all diseased".
